Build a plan you can steer.
The Agile Strategic Sprint is a 6 to 8 week planning engagement for founders running a $2M to $7M business (up to $10M works). You walk out with an operating budget, three to five quarterly milestones with an owner on each, and written rules for when to stop something. All of it built from your own financials.
This is an AI-enabled engagement. AI writes the first round of questions, gathers the research, and distills your financials and the market into a brief. We spend our time together applying judgment to what it turns up. That part does not get delegated.
If you run a $2M to $7M business, you already know this feeling
You are working in the business, not on it. Working in the business means today's problems get your day. Working on the business means somebody is looking at next quarter's numbers, and right now nobody is. There is no operating budget. There is a bank balance and a gut feel. Goals live in your head. Hires get made because somebody was drowning. And the five year plan you wrote? Wrong by the second quarter.
I have seen this from both sides. I was CIO and co-founder of CLUBWAKA, ran it remote-first from 2004, and scaled it to $8.5M. I advise founders in this range now. The ground keeps moving. A 50 page plan does not survive a quarter like the ones we are having. What survives is a short plan with a budget behind it, an owner on every milestone, and rules for when to change course.
Six things you walk out with, all built from your own numbers
Operating Budget & Financial Baseline
Built from what things cost you, not what you hope they cost. Fixed and variable. Pipeline projected. The budget items you know separated from the ones you are guessing at.
3–5 Major Quarterly Milestones
Each one has a single owner, a RACI, the return you expect, and what it costs you if it does not get done.
Departmental & Company Scorecard
The leading and lagging numbers you will look at every week, with red, amber and green thresholds so nobody has to argue about whether it is going well.
Landscape & Competitive Brief
What moved in your market, your technology and your regulations over the last 18 months, and which of it matters to you. AI does the gathering. We decide what matters.
Agile Inflection Playbook
Written rules for when to start, stop or keep a hire, an experiment or a target. Decided now, while nobody is emotional about it.
Worst-Case Contingency Plan
The worst case and what-if scenarios for your business, the trigger that tells you one is happening, and who does what when it does.
Four phases over 6 to 8 weeks, one 90 minute call a week
We pull 24 to 36 months of your financials, look at who you have hired and lost, and look hard at what each product earns you. AI distills 18 months of market, regulatory and competitive change into a brief before we meet, so the call is spent deciding, not reading.
A 3 hour working session, virtual or in person, where we argue about where the money and the people go. We also walk through the worst case and what-if scenarios, so the plan is defended before anything hits.
We separate the budget items you know from the ones you are guessing at, stress test your unit costs and margins, and look at how your pipeline really behaves. This is the phase that ends the cash surprises.
Three to five quarterly milestones, each with one owner, a RACI and a written stop rule. A scorecard with leading and lagging numbers. Start, stop and keep rules for hires, experiments and revenue targets.
Here is what AI-enabled means. AI writes the first round of intake questions, gathers the research, and distills your financials and the landscape into drafts. I do the judgment. We work through the drafts together and apply what you know about your business and what I know from running and advising them.
That split is why the price is what it is. The distilling used to eat weeks of my billable time. It takes hours now. The time you pay for is the time we spend deciding.
Remote or in person. Both are included.
3-hour remote alignment
Included in the 25 hour engagement. The regular weekly calls are 90 minutes.
4-hour in-person alignment
Also included in the 25 hours. You cover travel. Nothing else shows up on the invoice.
Founder's Pilot
$5,000 for the next 2 qualified and approved candidates, one-third off the $7,500 standard. That is 25 hours of advisory over the 6 to 8 weeks: a 90 minute call every week, the 3 hour virtual session (or 4 hours in person), the AI-assisted distillation, and all six deliverables. In-person is included. You cover travel only.
Anything outside the six deliverables above is a change order, scoped and agreed before I do the work. The pilot rate applies to the next 2 qualified and approved candidates and is conditional on qualifying. I screen every applicant before I take a slot.
Who the sprint is built for
For you if
You are a founder or leadership team running a $2M to $7M business (up to $10M works), with 5 to 50 employees, at least 24 months of monthly financials, and the willingness to put 3 to 5 hours a week into the homework. You want to be pushed back on.
Not for you if
You want a consultant to nod at the plan you already have. Or you are not ready to look at what your numbers say. I have coached long enough to know that if the truth is unwelcome, this does not work. I will tell you that on the fit call.
What clients ask before they apply
Are the weekly calls really 90 minutes?
Yes. 90 minutes, every week. The alignment session is separate: 3 hours virtual or 4 hours in person.
What does in-person cost me?
Travel. That is it. The 4 hour in-person session is inside the 25 hours and there is no premium for choosing it.
What if I need more than the fenced scope?
That is a change order, scoped and agreed before any extra work. The six deliverables above are the pilot.
What about my data and AI safety?
No client data is used to train models. Every deliverable comes with a prompts-used appendix, so you can see exactly what was asked of the AI to produce your drafts.
Build it before the year gets away from you
The plan is short so you can steer it. The intake is a short set of questions about where your business stands. I read every one myself. If we are a fit, we talk. If we are not, I will say so and point you somewhere better.
